Dr Anil Sethi is Chief Executive Officer and Managing Trustee, Pokhrama Foundation. For the longest time of his working life, Anil has been an academic. He has served as Professor of History and History Education at Azim Premji University, Bengaluru (2012-2018) and at the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) (2005-2012).
Prior to 2005, he taught South Asian history and allied disciplines at the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Tokyo and the Osaka University of Foreign Studies, Osaka. He served as Centre for Excellence Fellow, of the rank of Associate Professor, at the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Tokyo. Anil has also taught at the University of Delhi, Delhi, the School of Planning and Architectures, New Delhi, and the University of North London, UK.
Anil took his PhD in South Asian History from the University of Cambridge, U.K., where he was a Commonwealth Fellow.
